Doctor Strange Portal | Houdini

As you might have guessed, I have just recently watched Doctor Strange (for the first time) and could not stop myself from trying to recreate the famous portal effect.

Of course, I learned a lot of new things, tried out the new Sparse Pyro Solver in Houdini 18 (it’s awesome!) and used my recently improved VEX knowledge. Rendering was done in good old Mantra and later comped in Nuke.
